| Controller
The Orion controller transmits data from sensors to
the computer. It is based on industry-proven Opto-22
hardware, with spare parts available worldwide.
Standard data channels include depth and speed, pipe
weight, wellhead pressure and circulating pressure. Other
typical channels include stripper pressures, injector
skate pressures and various flowrates and volumes.
Software
The Orion software processes, displays, and stores the
data acquired from the hardware controller onto a separate
PC. The software works in conjunction with Cerberus for
real-time life monitoring, forces and limits. The Orion
software runs on Windows 98SE, XP, 2000 and Windows NT. |
Orion Monitor
Our Orion data acquisition system now features an advanced
monitor option which runs in the background and alerts
the operator when a pre-defined condition is detected.
The alert may be a warning (yellow) or alarm (red), an
audible alarm can be sounded and, in advanced systems,
the option exists to shut down the CT unit automatically!
The Monitor allows the status of multiple channels to
be viewed at a glance, and it reduces to a floating toolbar
with a single "master" indicator during normal
operations. The Monitor is an add-on feature to the standard
Orion package and carries a supplemental charge. Contact

Real-Time Data Monitoring at the Wellsite
With the power of the internet and our Orion data acquisition
software, our customers now have the ability to transfer
real-time, CT job data via the internet from the well-site
to anywhere in the world!! |
Orion for coiled tubing is a cost effective,
purpose-built data acquisition system consisting of a hardware
controller and software. It can be retrofitted onto existing
CT units, or installed onto new CT units.
